Anyway, this was a funny news story to watch.  Just the other day my husband and I were talking about how and when we first learned of the internet.  I remember I was dating this guy back in 1991 and he was telling me how he would play computer games and talk with people all over the world.  And I couldn't understand how the hell he was doing that.  He said it was with a modem and a phone line - but I still didn't get it.  I don't remember if he used the term "internet" or not but I remember how it seemed like such a foreign concept. 

Do you remember how and when you first heard of the internet????

well from 92-95 I was in japan and completely out of the loop. when i came back to the states this friend of mine spent 500 on a computer and i thought "wow what a waste of money" he told me the same thing he would talk to people and play games all over the world.

I dind't get online until 98, if i knew then what i knew now, sheesh.

Oh me being the smart person that i was in 95 when i started going to college wanted to save money and bought a word processor for 125, hahaha saved the extra 100 bucks it would have cost to buy a computer.........see I'm smart :-)

Haha you, but I used to do that when there were just BBS instead of the internet. Now if I would have just jumped on some of that sweet internet money in the 90's. Man I screwed up there.
