Podcast Reset

Hello everyone, thanks for listening and sticking around while we get this pod cast stuff figured out. I have been editing all day and unfortunately, we have run into a snag. We shot 8 of these things total and it looks like only the first 2 were usable. We had technical difficulties on the 2nd series of 4 and no video was retained and the last 2 from the first series were, hum how can I say this nicely, drunk and sleepy. So it looks like it is going to be a bit until the next one comes out. I apologize for the delay, but I would rather delay it than put out total garbage. After the first two, we realized several things we should do to make them easier to listen to and more fun.

We are going to setup some rules for talking so that it is easier to hear each person and we are going to take some time to discuss the game afterwards instead of just cutting it off.

We will be posting a summary of players and the outcomes for the other 6 games as well as out totals for our bankroll, so you can keep up in the meantime. Brian will get all of the stats and particulars up for your viewing pleasure.

Since we have a break here, now is the time to give us some suggestions. What should we do to make it more interesting, anything? We will plan on shooting again next week and then will have episode 3 out on a Monday either the 19th or the 26th depending on how much editing there is to do and when next week we shoot.

Again thanks for the patience, I think these are a really addition to the site and doing the right is worth the wait.

SP-02 Feedback

Ok everyone, episode two is officialy ready for consumption. The audio is already there and the video is uploading as I type this. The links to the video already exist, but will not work until the upload completes. As I have crap upload speed I suspect they won't be complete until morning. As most of you will not get this until morning they are probably there =). Leave us some feedback here.

After doing this one, I think we should consider a couple of things.

Come up with a rule so everyone is not talking at the same time. I am not sure how to do this as part of the fun is the excitment during the games, maybe just when discussing strategy.
We need to have a wrap up session after the game and discuss it just a little. It ends without really ending.

Thoughts? Other suggestions? I have two more and a summary podcast already recorded from our first session, so until those are edited, we won't be incorporating suggestions, but we will be shooting future casts in the next week or so, so get your suggestions in now.

Well I decided to actually have a life this weekend and have not finished editing sp-02. As we are doing "Family" stuff today, I doubt I will finish it up today. I might still have it out tomorrow, but if not it will happen on Tuesday.

Well I just finished mixing down the first podcast, and I must say it is a bit rough. I am sure we will get better at it as we go. Some small things we can do to make the editing easier and more enjoyable by me =). I started editing at about 3:00 this afternoon and I just finished. I have not cut together the video or the intor or music, that was just fading levels! =). Hopefully I will finish up the rest in a couple of days and you guys can check it out.

I tried to edit out some of the jabs at folks here, but it was near impossible as they were flying left and right. Everything the folks were sayinf was in good fun, so hopefully people will take it in stride =). I think I was called an idiot or mangina or somethign a couple of times... Bastiges, no respect I tell ya.

We shot our first series of podcasts tonight and it was a blast. Our character luckBox on well over doubled his money. I will leave the details about who played and what the finishes were to the audio when it comes out. We have to create some suspense here right? I have a feeling the editing will take over a week as this is all new and our recording levels were hit an miss. It will be posted here and you will be able to subscribe to it through one of your pod catching clients or iTunes.

OK so this was 3 handed the one guy had a huge lead and I had never seen him go all in like this before, plus I figured I could outplay this guy and win pots without a showdown which I did for the next 4 or 5 pots. What you think? Is this a good laydown, was the guy putting pressure on me because of my fear to finish 3rd? Can anyone else fold this? The peanut gallery thought this was a horrid play, but I didn't know where I was at in the hand and figured I could out play these guys.

Potential Snag UPS sucks

Well all of the podcasting equipment was supposed to arrive today and when I went to track it it said exception. long story short, apparently, the container my stuff was in got wet. Great 1200.00 worth of electronics in water, awesome. Anyway, they said some of the packages are ok, some are not and they are going through them now. If I don't get the stuff this afternoon H2O free, we are going to have to re-schedule for next week on Thursday, I will let you know.

THE PACKAGE WAS LEFT IN A UPS FACILITY CAUSING THIS DELAY;FORWARDED TO THE FACILITY IN THE DESTINATION CITY - This is the error I get, I think it would be more accurate and cause less phone calls to clarify what the above really means if they just said - YOUR fucked -

Podcast March 23rd Discussion

Ok, started a new area to discuss this idea. Will the 23rd work at say 7:30 pm. Lindy will host. Now we need to know the show format, who will play, how we will be commenting etc. I say we keep it fairly loose, but we will need to make it where it is interesting and understandable. Not just 6 people yelling over each other etc. Put your ideas here.
