Ron's Chance to Finally Win a Homegame

    TOP PAIR TILT MONKEY

    VS

    LUCKY DONKEY

    STEEL CAGE TEXAS HOLDEM DEATHMATCH

Yo, top pair monkey, it's been too long since you cashed in a home game live tournament, so here's the the opportunity you've been waiting for. Let's play a best of three series of HU NL holdem matches. 1500 starting chips, normal blinds, increasing every 20 minutes. We're playing for the right to pick the other person's costume at the next three home games. Mike can podcast, and everyone else is welcome to come railbird.

Personally, I am super excited about the chance to see you you show up at lindy's next 3 table tournment dressed up as Anna Nicole Smith. What do you say? Are you up for it?

I love the idea and the format.  But I am NEVER having another 3 table game at my house.  Especially since we are getting the new floor put in next month.

Re: Ron's Chance to Finally Win a Homegame

you had better re-edit that to state just "home game" i won a "live" tournament when i was in vegas last trip, easy 500 bones. anywhoooooo....

Sorry I don't have any interest in doing this.

I have little interest in tournametns as it is so i really don't see a tournament as the way to prove bragging rights, i'll be happier to just flip a coin 3 times and go from there on who has to wear what.  It's known i am not a fan of the tournaments except for the social side of it, even if i do get ridiculously annoyed at idiot play from tons of different people but hey that's part of the interest in going to them, oh and jimbo bobbleheads.

I appreciate the offer but with everything else going on, this would take a huge chunk of time out of my day for something i have little interest in.  My only free time this weeknd is tonight and I think i want to see a movie and/or do something absolutely lazy with the family.

Maybe we can re-visit this issue in a few months after a few more home games, less hectic of a schedule and/or you donk me out of another tournament :P

<----I hate tournaments and tournaments hate me, so I'm loading up on all the donkey luck I can for the next ones :-)

Ok how about you play a cash game where the blind never increase who ever takes all the money wins and you do that 3 times, then the person gets to pick a costume for the other person to wear.

Ahhh brian has tickled my interest i'll combine the cash game and tournament play some.

plus the more i think on it the opportunity to have phil show up in a nippless t-shirt i create with daisy duke shorts becomes more appealing by the second.

I like the idea of a best out of 3 tournament where the blinds don't increase.  that way it combines them both.

Playing just for the costuming rights, or the costuming rights, + a cash buy in? I'm game either way, but this is starting to sounds like rounders. Will do at least do a teddyKGB impression when you tilt? Because then we are almost back to the chip throwing.

More appealing to who?  I might gouge my eyes out if I had to see that.

Re: Ron's Chance to Finally Win a Homegame

Maybe the event before this can be a Mike and Jim drinking competition, cause I would actually like to see mike keep up wtih Jim when he is not the only judge.

I'll even spot him a half bottle of Jager and give him 2-1 odds.

Re: Ron's Chance to Finally Win a Homegame

Sweet, mike can die after his liver explodes trying to outdrink lindy, and I will die shortly after when I hit a strait against ron's two pair and he goes into a psychotic tilt monkey rage and kung fu's me to death. This is going to be a GREAT event.

We should probably sell it on PPV.

Re: Ron's Chance to Finally Win a Homegame

We might need to book a large venue for this.  I'm not sure any of our living rooms are large enough to allow everyone that wants a seat to watch.  Brian and Brad can sell snacks and beverages on the side to cover the room  rental.
