Andre, I like the ideas you have, but I don't want to limit the final event to 9 players.  If only 9 qualify for the final event, fine; but I am thinking that the way it is setup with points through 9th will still give people that are not that successful a chance of cashing in the final event since they will at least have 2000 in chips before any bonus chips are added.  I don't really want to stack this thing towards only the best players, since I am trying to draw in a new crowd at the same time and the good players should make money in the weekly events as it stands.

bump...so, I am leaning towards league point champion getting a prize of some sort out of the pool.  I think it's only right that the most consistent player for 26 weeks should get a bonus.  I am leaning towards using money that was brought up as being used to buy a bracelet, etc to go as a cash prize to league point winner.  The final event would then still be played for remainder after 30% goes to league champ.  Let me know what you think.  ty

Nah, I think you go with the bracelet.  It sounds like you'd have a few hundred bucks to get a decent piece of jewelry made with that.  And who here wouldn't sport that at every home event?  Shoot, I'd wear it to work!

Thought I'd mention...many of the leagues like this give one point for playing in an event regardless of how you place.  Then you get additional points for placing.  This encourages people to try to play the events and gives credit for the ones who do show up.  I'm not saying they all do this but I see a lot that do.

Yeah, I have no problem giving a point for showing up.  I plan on giving points out the way they do on "Whose Line is it Anyway".....because on there the points don't matter.
