Ok i liked how i played this but what would you do if you were the other guy on the river, i'm guessing he had a flush draw or weak pair now.

now not only call my hand but what do you do if you're the other guy on the river? playing their hand.

Guessing you might have a hand like K10, he def had a flush draw (suited connectors) or maybe like a J or 9 real hard with no histor.

I think yo had jack and shit and he had a weak king or J. Not much in the pot to fight over so I either re-raise you in what I think is a bluff or just fold it. I think your bet was right to chase out weak hands, always give them a reason to fold. If you had a huge hand, I might either bet a little more to lok liek a bluff or I might bet the turn and make him pay a little to chase if that is what he was doing.

whoo hoo, lots of action on this thread.  Well here were my thoughts on this hand since this table had a couple of people that were aggressive but thought some.

I had Q10 and flopped the nut straight.  Since the guy lead out, instead of just calling I wanted to rep a flush draw or pair scared of the flush draw.  So with my re-raise i got the original bettor(who's out of position to just call) so i'm guessing pair or flush draw, not sure.  The turn is a blank and i still hold the nuts, the opponent checks.......Here i check which I think makes my re-raise on teh flop look like I did it to get a free card on the turn and hopefully he catches a bigger hand or senses this so he'll bluff/stab at the pot on the river.  The river blanks and they are first to act and they check, damn pansies, ok so my thoughts backfired so i bet strong to make it seem like i'm trying to pick up the pot with a missed flush draw which i think is easily represented on how i played the hand.  But they fold and i get no extra bets, sometimes things don't go how you wanted but iw anted to see if others sensed how i set up this hand.

I think the pot is too small at the river to be motivated to bluff at you. I think building the pot a little before then could have maybe induced the bluff easier. But ehh what do I know. =)

Ehh it depends, he was first to act so i was hoping how the hand was played out he'd bluff but since he didn't i was thinking of underbetting it some but instead thought stronger bet so if he did decide to bluff it'd have to be mid teens instead of 4-6 dollars.

Not all plans go according to how you thought but at least the thought was there. damn .5/1 NL players suck :P
