Ok, I will need more time to obviously get this drawn out in any realistic manner; so changed time frame to a September start.  I don't see anyone signing up, not sure why...?

Signing up for the league is NOT committing.  It is simply joining the league with your option to show up as often or little as you want.  I thought I made it all clear how the point system idea would work.  That's fine, if people aren't really interested in joining a league; I won't waste my time setting it up.

only your final championship event stack will be affected by your choice.

See, i think the idea for a league is great but not for me since i would only make very random games and even as you stated, my final championship event stack would be affected, so why donate to put myself in last place where i'll never have a real shot because i can't fully participate.

Still a great idea though for those that can commit to this, you're right one day a week isn't excessive.

    Re: Poker league

Well....you could show up for say half the events and place well enough to have better chipstack at final event than some monkey that shows up every week.  This being possible, I don't see your point....please elaborate...lol

Don't forget any weekly events you would decide you wanted to host....

That said, besides my other point made; I don't see the resistance.  Not being an ***, just want to figure this out and make a success out of it.  Jimbo

    Re: Poker league

Do you have the point system laid out.  I am all for this but I think you need to get all the rules setup before people will actually start signing up.  Like ron could probably play once a month, but since he does not know the point system, he is thinking that he can not compete if he plays once a month.  If you lay out the point system and it proofs him wrong he will probably join.

You just thought of this 3 days ago and you are already giving up cause no one signed up, patience daniel son.  Get all the rules figured out and then start pushing it and don't give up after a few days.

    Re: Poker league

Ok, here is what I drew up.  I didn't give up, but I see more interest in posting threads about fast food than helping me get this off the ground...anyways...here is what I have...critique and help at will.

    League Point System

ü        Points system is based on final table finish position.  (9pts for 1st –1pt for 9th)

ü        26 weekly events at $20.00+ $5.00 towards final event prize pool.

ü        Weekly events will start with 1000 in chips.

ü        Weekly event blind levels will be 30 minutes, starting at 10/20.

ü        Weekly event payouts will be top 3 places based on 50/30/20%.

ü        Maximum points if finished 1st in every weekly event = 234.

ü        Minimum points if finished 9th in every weekly event  = 26.

ü        There will be a final event “base” chip stack of 1000 in chips.  "Bonus" chips will be awarded to starting stack at a ratio of 1 point = 25 in chips.  (This means all final event players will have at least 1000 chips to start, with added chips based on their performance throughout weekly league events.)

ü        Blind structure for weekly events will be as follows:

    AceSmall Fall League

    Re: Poker league

You probably want to do avg pts/per game so that you don't have to play in every event to get max pts.  Also I would give extra pts for cashing.  I personally would have 2k chip stacks instead of 1k, more post flop play for people that like that.

"you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor." I can't covet my neighbors donkey, this blows I am out of here.

So, you would have troubled playing post flop poker with 1000 in chips and blinds at 10/20?

Ok who's the turbo player, raiser your hand.

Looks good so far, i like the idea of the basic chip stack and then adding on chips by how many events you to go.  How many weeks of this are you looking to do this before the championship event?
